It’s that time of year again when Phillips brewery undergoes a transformation into a festival venue for Phillips Backyard Weekender! Similarly to last year mother nature made intermittent appearances with a sprinkle of rain throughout.
To kick things off for the weekend, LiiNKS (collaboration of local Victoria talents Georgia Murray and D-Whiz) got the good vibes rolling with the first wave of afternoon concert goers.
Following a quick set change we were treated to the groove inspiring funk and jam tunes of New Orleans based Dumpstaphunk!
Backyard Weekender then took an old school spin with “The Magnificent” DJ Jazzy Jeff accompanied by rap artist Dayne Jordan!
Riding the high after DJ Jazzy Jeff’s set….BC product The Funk Hunters took to the stage with vocalist Tonye Aganaba, guitarist Steven Beddall and Chris Wilson on saxophone to close night one at Phillips Backyard Weekender!
