With school really getting busy, the cameras have been spending more time hiding in the closet. During this past Remembrance Day long weekend, I was in Toronto to attend the 2013 Canadian Critical Care Forum. I arrived in Toronto a day before the conference so that I could hang out with my cousin and do the touristy thing and explore downtown TO. My cousin was the person that first introduced me to photography, so it was pretty awesome being able to bust out our cameras together and do a bit of a photo walk downtown. We spent most of the time walking around the university and downtown, but of course we went on an expensive elevator ride up the CN Tower. Heading up the CN Tower is one of those things you have to do once if you’re ever in Toronto, but I probably wouldn’t recommend spending the extra 12 bucks to go up another 100m to the SkyPod as it doesn’t really add much to the experience (if you look straight down, the LookOut level actually blocks the view of the ground which takes away the effect of being even higher). But overall, the view from the CN Tower was pretty impressive and we got some pretty sick pictures of the city. My short time experiencing the big city life in Toronto was awesome and hopefully the next time I’m back I’ll be able to catch a Jays game. Lastly, with the school being my main focus for the next little while, I will be doing less photography work and this blog will feature more updates of the events and happenings of my life. Cheers!
Finally have found a vietnamese restaurant which can match the awesomeness of Saskatoon’s Thien Vietnam. If you’re on Spadina Avenue, be sure to hit up Anh Dao!
It was a little windy outside at the LookOut Level of the CN Tower, but I guess that’s to be expected when you’re 346m high.
As will soon become more evident, I definitely took the opportunity to indulge in all the awesome food while in Toronto. Okonomiyaki aka Japanese pancake!
Caplansky’s aka the messiah of smoked meat!
We came, we ate, we conquered Caplansky’s!
