Just recently picked up an 85mm lens for my 5D Mark II, and have been really impressed with the sharpness and bokeh of the lens. The subject isolation and bokeh is very similar to using my 70-200mm, but the best part is the 85mm is only a fraction of the size and weight of the 70-200mm making it much easier to carry and maneuver with. Behind the scenes, a good chunk of photography is location scouting, finding new spots to shoot at and making sure the lighting is just perfect. My sister always tags along with me and is the perfect subject for test shots. Being the silly sister that she is, I have a ton a goofy pictures like the one below.
However, for every 100 goofy ones I get one really good photo of her……
